Terms of Service

Effective date: 5 May 2026  ยท  Last updated: 5 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Marv ("the app", "the service"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Marv is a family organisation tool that processes forwarded emails to extract calendar events, tasks, and reminders, and adds them to your family's shared view and Google Calendar. The service is provided free of charge during its current phase.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Google Calendar access

When you sign in with Google, you grant Marv permission to read and write events on your Google Calendar. You can revoke this permission at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access will prevent Marv from creating new calendar events but will not delete events already created.

5. Data and privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

6. Intellectual property

The Marv name, logo, and app design are our property. You retain ownership of all data you enter into the service.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-extracted event data will be accurate. You should verify important calendar events before relying on them.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including missed appointments or incorrect calendar entries resulting from AI processing errors.

9. Changes to the service and terms

We may modify or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice. We may update these terms โ€” continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
